The CRRU team can be kept very busy during the year with call-outs to marine wildlife in trouble. The majority of cetacean strandings tend to occur during the harsher winter months, but wildlife casualties can occur year-round and the team are on call 24 hrs a day to assist with advice, assessments, diagnoses, first aid and specialised rescue equipment as required.
