| Dave White & Andrew Lake Including Pete Rawson and Fungus Music Inspired by the Moray Firth Dolphins Click on picture for cover notes, sample of music & biographies |
Following an incredible encounter with dolphins, musician Dave
White set out to express in music what he had seen and felt. The result was
'Bottlenose Boogie', the title track from a CD featuring music by Dave and fellow-musician
Andrew Lake. The recording features the voices of
the Moray Firth Dolphins merging in with the music creating a mixture of rock, boogie
and jazz.
The CD has been produced entirely on behalf of the dolphins of the Moray Firth
with all the proceeds being used to support the essential research being carried
out by Dr Kevin Robinson and the Cetacean Research and Rescue Unit. The research
unit was set up in 1997 to observe and study the bottlenose dolphins using the
outer Moray Firth in NE Scotland. It is hoped the research can be used to help
establish conservation areas in the Firth to protect the 130 or so dolphins.
All the musicians gave their services free and costs for producing the CD were
met from sponsorship.
The CD is available by mail order for just 10 GB Pounds
plus 2 Pounds shipping, and is a must for all dolphin and music lovers alike.
