CRRU at the Scottish Wildife & Countryside Fair 2002

Howie Watkins and the CRRU teamed up to provide a memorable series of "Cetacean Rescues" at the Scottish Wildlife and Countryside Fair on 31st Aug & 1st Sep 2002. Young visitors to the fair joined in with the CRRU demonstration team to successfully refloat "Moby", the inflatable pilot whale, no less than 4 times over the weekend. Here are some snapshots of the team in action below. What a weekend! With an average of 400 children and adults per show, by the end of the fair everyone was as exhausted as if they had been on a real rescue call.  However, all agreed that it was worth it to have inspired so many keen young Marine Mammal Medics of the future.
